Seider is as good as in Detroit next season, He's pretty much NHL ready now. Can't see him another year in GR.

Maybe because he just bought a new home in Michigan close to his brother, Plus we can pay him what he wants. Which reportedly he's seeking between $8 to $9 million per over 7 years rather easily. And if Blashill is still coach there's that factor. While yeah Boston is a potential cup contending team there's still no guarantee's they win one. Tons of things need to happen right to win a cup. Tampa for example wins the President Trophy's then gets swept 4-0 to Columbus. If they run into a hot goaltender early on anything can happen early exit.

Also, a lot of the big guns in Boston are getting older. If going to a contender is at the top of Krug's list, he'd be better off taking a bit less and landing on a team with a bunch of talent in their 20s.

People need to keep in mind how bad the defense looks this year. Getting Green and Daley back from injury was actually a good thing. That's how bad it is. And next year they're gone. Dekeyser could very well get injured again next season. What's left of the defense would put the Wings on track to have a worse season than the current one.

Because Boston could be like Red Wings 2013-17 on his later part of the ontract. Chara is gonna retire, Bergeron gets too old at some point. etc. Rask too.

I think if he signs for 8 years, he will have ~2-3 good years and ~5-6 bad regressing years at Boston. If he signs to Detroit, he would have ~2-3 bad years here and 5-6 good rising team years in here.

I hope he gets a Cup this year, so he can leave.
