I would think getting a contract as a free agent, and rich with playing time in pro hockey age 20-22 has been great for Coetzee.. But what do I know.



Yup, giving out a signing bonus seems like standard. And makes the contract a lot more tolerable for any prospect.

Coetzee would benefit from a full season in the AHL, I think, but the way Holland loads up "plugs" every year on the big club keeps space from opening up in GR.

If you meant that he's good enough I agree. Wings pretty obviously moved on from him this season, although for a probable career minor leaguer it could be a blessing for him to be a scorer in the ECHL instead of grinder in the AHL this season.
