Larry Wilson, had just been hired to coach the Wings for the final 36 games of the 76-77 season. His brother Johnny, was coaching the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies won that night 6-4. Larry's Wings went 3 wins, 29 losses 4 ties and missed the playoffs. Johnny's Rockies went 20 wins, 46 losses and 14 ties and also missed the playoffs. Both of the Wilson brothers were on the 1949-50 Red Wings Stanley Cup team. Larry, was let go at the end of the season and was replaced by Bobby Kromm. Photo shows Johnny with a Rockies jersey and Larry with the Wings jersey.
