Olli Jokinen pushing out a ton of great quotes, a lot of truth being said.

Sorry for all the tweets, but thought there was a lot of good stuff and Olli sounds like he really understands what needs to happen.

hehe . Hitler Video

That has to be my favorite of those kinds of videos. Somehow him freaking out over everything is just awesome.

Although not sure there is a need for it on this topic. The Leafs are tanking spectacularly. Sure, they probably can't catch Buffalo/Edmonton at this point, but hey they can still get a good pick. And we can always pray that rigging the lotto will work for us this time :).

Olli understands what it's about, whether he has the ability to affect any change is another question.

It really goes to show how the young players who grew up during the Wilson era retool have no idea what being professional players is all about. Kessel, Bozak, Phaneuf, and the gang are the least professional group of Leafs that have ever been assembled.

If he survives the purge we'll need a few more veteran voices along with him to make sure the next generation of kids don't go sour.

Think it's the exact same thing happening in Edmonton. You need those leaders and you need to have each player trust one another.

I'm sorry, I have heard all these lines from players before. You can't fool me. Olli is saying all the right things. Who knows maybe other GM's are watching and listening. He's a smart guy. Though I don't doubt his sincerity. He's playing for a contract or a deal to a playoff team.

If Leafs really want to tank they would trade Bernier and Reimer, call up Gibson and sign Glenn Healey as back up. We would have a good shot at Mcdavid.

Novel way of shutting Healey the hell up. I like it.

There's a difference between saying the lines from a script and understanding what it means. At 36 I'm sure Olli knows what it means and is why he's still so passionate about the game at the twilight of his career.

Obviously he's playing to get dealt to another team lol.

Just saying that's what teams like the Leafs and Edmonton need to develop their players right and get them on the right track, it starts with the attitude.

Olli was also as negative as they come when he left Nashville, so yeah, he could be full of cliches but as an outsider coming into a situation, he sure does re-confirm what we know about this group of people.

Simply bad dudes.

There are some UFA's available that can bring leadership. Just as long as we do not overpay for leadership. I'm ok with signing some. But don't make a Robidas mistake, the players should be closer to 30 than 40, and not coming off 2 broken legs.

Feeling pretty good about our tank. We're locking down our fifth overall spot, and a loss to the Canes will put them in a great spot to pass us.

This isn't just about going out to get UFA's with leadership anymore, drafting guys with the right attitude and leadership is just as essential when playing in Toronto.

Funny. I'm not very much a veteran and here I am working in the hockey markets. Go figure. Not to mention some of the players you quoted yet again...are seen in a very different light

Good job by ollie to bring the truth again, however I don't think they aren't going to anything. The only thing I'm honestly rooting for is the boys get some sort of defensive mind as stupid as it sound into their heads. Along with Kessel reaching 30 goals.
