Prospect Info: RD Jakob Stenqvist, Assat Pori (Liiga), (Dallas 6-176 2016 NHL Draft)

Most of the talk coming out of Finland has been about Julius Honka and how his contract situation will work itself out.

Stenqvist has been under the radar; playing in Sweden's lower league, Allsvenskan until this season.

He has just turned 22 and while he didn't break in with Swedish club Frolunda as it was hoped his big season with Assat is encouraging.

Stengvist was the team's third-leading scorer as a defenseman between former Colgate forwards Tyson and Tylor Spink.

The Stars have had a working with relationship with Assat for several years — with a number of prospects having played there through the years.

Haven't heard any news as to whether he will receive an ELC this week.
