Listed as a right defenseman by CapFriendly though he shoots left, Lintuniemi never reached the NHL in four years in the King’s organization.
Invited to training camp with the Hurricanes in 2019-20 (an organization with several Finland-trained players both in the NHL and with the AHL’s Charlotte Checkers), he played just four games with Charlotte before returning to Finland.
Is there any chance he returns to North America and what is it that kept him from reaching the level of some of his more accomplished U18 and U20 teammates to this point?
