I wish we stored each year’s new set of rankings post draft somewhere to compare. No doubt someone could do the leg work and put it together but that would take time.Berard.
Whats nuts is before 2017, these guys would have been in the 5-7 range for us.
Just saw someone post our 2016 rankings. Jimmy Vesey was #1I wish we stored each year’s new set of rankings post draft somewhere to compare. No doubt someone could do the leg work and put it together but that would take time.

It's funny because there wasn't even anyone worth ranking after 20.Winter 2016 (January)

Not a single NHLer after 6. Ouch
That's true. And Saarela may yet become a regular.Yeah but when you consider that they got 4 full time NHL players out of the top 6 (and 200+ games out of another in Lindberg), thats not too bad.
Went with Vierling because he’s more projectible at this point and has made really good strides in the OHL.
Berard is probably has flashier offensive tools in the tool box, but I want to see how they translate on his next stop.
Both guys have the potential to rise significantly next season.
Does Berard have 2nd line potential?
I think they both definitely do (he and Vierling).Does Berard have 2nd line potential?

Does Berard have 2nd line potential?
Yeah but they're both probably 4+ years out. And even then, you still have to make the team and win a spot in the top six. What will we look like in five years? Hard to say. There may not be room for them now but a lot can and will change.Maybe they have second line upside for some other NHL teams but I find it hard to imagine either are going to get there with the likes of Zibanejad, Panarin, Lafreniere, Kakko and Kreider in our top 6 and potentially Chytil and Kravtsov. I don't know---maybe we're going to have a second line worthy 3rd line. Berard's not big but he's a gritty guy and a pain in the ass. Vierling's got a shot at 2c I guess if Chytil doesn't improve much. Maybe I shouldn't but I like him better than Henriksson to be honest. But anyway I think Richards doesn't quite have their ceiling but he's closer and has a Dominic Moore vibe to him.
