I didn't want to do it, but have no choice since there's a tie between Marek Hrivik and Richard Nejezchleb. It's a Czech v Slovak rivalry!

Going with Hrivik because he's really close to making the NHL. I don't see tremendous potential with Nej, he could turn into a fairly skilled bottom-6 guy if he pans out, but he's also high risk. Hrivik, on the other hand, is fairly low risk.

More upside with Nejezchleb but Hrivik is safe. I'll take Hrivik. A month or so from now I might feel differently, but I need to see how Nejezchleb's game translates to the pros.

I don't think Hrivik ever makes the NHL to be honest. Nej has a bit higher ceiling so I went with him. Hrivik in my view has just stalled out on his development.

If he hits a plateau, he won't, at least not unless/until there will be 2 team expansion, opening spots for top AHLers to be 13F. But if he can take a step forward and not look as lost once he's done transitioning into the offensive third, he can make it and soon. He's good on defense, excellent in the middle transitioning and then gets lost and does not know what to do when he gets to the other team's third of the ice. Even as a bottom-6 guy, you need to know how to cycle in the offensive zone to keep the puck far away from your own net. Moore is great at that, Hrivik would be smart to learn from Moore.

I like Hrivik a lot as a future fourth liner somewhere in the league, but I always go with potential - until the evidence begins to accrue that it's not going to pan out.

Thing is I don't see Nejezchleb being a top 6 player, just a semi skilled bottom 6 player. I think he maxes out as a poor man's Anisimov.

going with Richard. I think Hrivik's window has closed.
