C/LW Crystoval Nieves won round 9. G Adam Huska is added to the poll.

ADDITIONS: I am adding Tyler Nanne since based on the last story it looks like he made a full return to health and is training to return to hockey (but probably not this season since he needs to regain his strength). I am also adding Troy Donnay since technically he's still our prospect, even though he's in his last year of his contract and nowhere near the AHL.

WHO IS A PROSPECT: We can't all have different standards based on what we each want personally, so we follow HF rules. The standard for what's a prospect is here: http://www.hockeysfuture.com/whatmakesaprospect

I specifically want to point out that Paliotta and Hrivik are eligible as prospects since they played under 65 games. Every year there are people who declare something like, "I don't consider Buchnevich to be a prospect because he's guaranteed to play on the Rangers." That is not the standard. We cannot have everyone follow a difference standard because then the results will be meaningless. By HF standards, McIlrath and others I listed are eligible, therefore they will count as prospects here.

Please write-in who you think should be added to the poll.

Voted for John Gilmour. He was lost in the Vesey sweepstakes, but the kid was also a desired NCAA free agent. He was dominant in Traverse, showing he's too good for the ECHL. Then he was excellent in preseason, outplaying several AHL vets and being fairly close to 4A players. Considering that he has no pro experience, that is excellent. I think he has a very realistic shot at the NHL as a two-way player.

Add Malte Stromwall. He was the top scorer on his Swe-2 team, and then looked real good during the preseason. The kid just turned 22 years old, so he has plenty of development years to crack the NHL.

EDIT: I'll change my add to Zbovorvskiy instead. He looked good during the preseason, and now started hot in Regina. He was drafted in the 3rd round and his value has only increased since then. Not sure why Day is up there over Zboro other than the shiny new toy syndrom: Zboro is taller, has a better shot, better positioning, more polished. Day is a little faster, but Zboro's skating improved over the last 12 months enough that I didn't see a gap in skating between the two in Traverse. Basically, the *hope* for Day is that a year from now he'll be where Zboro is today, but Zboro already got at least to this point, while Day just *hopes* to get here in a year.

Clendening. He may not ever become the all-around 1st pair puck rushing defender we'd all like, but he's already shown a lot of tools to be a Liles-type, and that's not bad. This is about right for where he should go.

Add Halverson.

I don't see what the fuss is about when it comes to Jensen but hey what do i know.

He had a good Worlds, but aside from that I don't see anything that makes him great. He cleared waivers, which means not a lot of teams seem that fond of him

Recent success is likely the reason for the hype. Got hot with Hrivik @ Hartford, and then played pretty well at the Olympic Qualifiers.

Honestly, though, the quality of competition at Olympic Qualifiers wasn't that great...and his hot streak with Hrivik was good, but not spectacular. He scored at a rate pretty much equal to that of Jesper Fast when Fast was with the Pack in 2013-14, although Fast had a lot more assists than Jensen.

Yes because those worth while don't go on waivers.

Nobody is saying Jensen is a top 5 prospect though..plenty of young players with NHL upside pass through waivers each year unclaimed because every team has prospects in their system with bottom 6 potential.

I can see the allure of picking Clendenning, but I'm still going with my gut and choosing Tarmo. Kid just has a great toolset, and I think he'll really turn out to be a solid player. FWIW, from 9-12, I have Tarmo, Boo, Clendenning, and then Huska.

Add Jensen.
