The bat slam was a bit much, but I'm glad to see that emotion from McCutchen. I'm also getting sick and tired of umpires with god complexes. Funny that they tend to be the worst umpires in terms of actually getting the calls right.

The Dodgers aren't great, but Kershaw's incredible and we put 4 on him. Deserved win and it restores a bit of optimism, but I'm not ready to believe this team is anything more than it was last week.

Disagree on the balls and strikes favoring only LA.

Early on Kuhl had several balls that were called strikes and Kershaw was getting squeezed. I saw several pitches that nicked the strike zone that were called balls on Kershaw.

And later on Schugel got some calls as did Melancon.

But yeah, the home plate ump was not good. But it went both ways.
