PK is younger, so obviously he shouldn't play
I think it's mostly that Rod really values guys who 'do things the right way' in his mind, and doesn't like telling the guys that do it that way that it's not enough. He doesn't want to be the guy to tell somebody like Andersen (or Staal) that what they're doing isn't cutting it, especially when that guy is a loyal and hardworking vet coming off of injury. He really, really hates the idea that somebody would lose their job due to an injury. In his mind, Andersen has always been the starter, and you start the starter in the playoffs, or it's an insult to him. He hates pulling goalies for the same reason, and in his first years as a coach, he basically *never* did it. He's still far more reluctant than most coaches.

People dislike how quickly and often rod does the blender

Now we hate is isnt.
Who amongst wouldn't try something new when you have nothing to lose? He's down 0-3 on his current approach and game plan yet won't even try something that could reinvent the discussion? It feels a bit like tunnel vision.

Gonna be hilarious to watch Trocheck attempt to play this tough guy act against Florida. They’ll kick his shit in lol

Imagine before this series being told not only is it going to be hard to like Trocheck anymore but you might actually prefer to see the Panthers kill his dreams instead of him triumphantly sticking it to the team that gave up on him first.
