Question regarding promotion/relegation for Slovak Extraliga

I noticed that Piestany was promoted this past season to the top league from the Slovak second division. What is the promotion/relegation set-up for this league. Bottom club or two face the top club or two from the second division? Also, how is each club's feeder system set-up? an under 16, under 18, and junior club that move up up one rung at a time to the big club? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Piešťany was promoted because they applied for the vacant spot left by Bratislava. Promotion is set up the 10th placed club in Extraliga plays a best of 7 series against the Champion of 1.liga. Last year that didnt happen due to the Champion of 1.liga was a farm club.

This year, Bardejov is back in the finals but again, if they are still a farm system, they cant fight for promotion but if not, the winner of 1.liga faces off against Martin.

They´re not anymore, AFAIK prior to this season SZLH decided that farm teams would not be able to play in 1.liga play-offs (probably to avoid last years situation).

Each extraleague club has their own teams - U20, U18, U15, U14, U13, U12 and younger are called preparatory teams.

This season are in U20 extraleague - extraliga juniorov players born in 1993, 1994 and all junior NT players born in 1995 must play U20 league, not U18. The best players born in 1996 and 1997 are also playing in this league. No overagers allowed this season. Lower league is called "1st league U20 - 1.liga juniorov". There is promotion and relegation between leagues.
U18 extraleague - extraliga dorastu - players born in 1995, 1996 and some younger. U18 teams were merged with U16 teams (together are called "dorast"), for example Czech republic still has U18 (starsi dorost) and U16 (mladsi dorost) league. Lower league is "1st league U18 - 1.liga dorastu", also promotion and relegation.
Next league levels are U15, U14, U13 and U12.
