By all accounts Tuukka and Timmy had a great relationship...but I dunno how much mentoring he did.

A question for you guys: How good was Tim Thomas at mentoring young goalies? How was he with Rask?

He may be more of a leader by example to young net-minders than anything else. His story alone is inspiration to any player trying to make it in the pros. I know that he and Tuukka are friends, they were even communicating throughout the 2013 playoffs. But I doubt he'll be much of a technical/Xs and Os type of mentor for Mason. But he won't be a negative influence, that's for sure.

I sit next to the B's backup goalie at the Garden and Tuukka and Timmy seemed to get along very well. They had some laughs for sure.

I thought Tuukka had mentioned that he learned by watching Timmy.
