Okay, I tried finding this on the NHL site itself, to no avail. Who is on the negotiating committee for the league? Is the Board of Govs comprised of all 30 owners or a subset of this group? Who decides who is on the negotiating committee [Bettman, I would guess?]. If he only needs 8 of 30 teams approval to decline on a CBA proposal, why would 30 individual owners allow this low of a % to carry the veto? Which owners carry the most influence with the others? Who hire Bettman? Anyone who has this structure and power thing down for the league, I'd love to hear from.
