Say two players get into a fight and both are assessed five-minute majors for doing so. One of the players is also assessed a roughing minor, making his team short a player.
Obviously, the extra penalty is served by another player on the offending team, but my question is, does the player who received both penalties have to sit for the entire seven minutes? (Assuming no goal is scored by the team with the PP.) In other words, does the five-minute penalty he got begin counting down right away, or does it count down AFTER the minor is served?
If that's not clear enough, do both penalties on the player begin counting down at the same time?
