What happens if a team scores when a double-minor is signaled (or, for that matter, two or more minors against the offending team) and that team is already short-handed by way of a major penalty? Is only one of the minors imposed? NHL rules only mention only one minor or bench minor in this scenario, whereas it does mention multiple minors in the previous paragraph (when the team is shorthanded by virtue of a minor penalty already on the board).
From the book:
"Should a minor or bench minor penalty be signaled against a team already short-handed by reason of a major (or match) penalty, but before the play can be stopped to assess the minor or bench minor penalty, a goal is scored by the non-offending side, the signaled minor or bench minor penalty shall not be imposed due to the scoring of the goal."
Does this passage include double minors and the like? Is it implied? Seems strange that the paragraph before does mention multiple minors yet this does not.
