I was just gonna post about it. Very amazing how much a guys stock can change so drastically.

Skill and talent can only take you so far. If i was starting a beer league team id want him on my team because he has a tonne of talent. But if you arent willing to go into the corners, take hits to make plays and work hard you wont go very far.

Great list by the way and thanks for it.

I just see Justin Saulnier at 36. I pretty surprises to see him that far, i know that he did not have a great season but is it because he was lost in the halifax deepth or just that he did not progress.

Just wondering because a lot of people were seeing this kid in the first three rounds at the beginning of the year

very nice list....but as a Val d'Or fan i dont understand why you rank Maxime Pelletier (he probably played only 20 shifts in 60 games ....HORRIBLE) and the goalie Guillaume Blouin who was cut and who is so weak (also have a bad attitude) that he is not even invited to next year Val d'Or's camp.....come Lala, at least include my brother... :biglaugh:

What's the word on Marc-Andre Cliche, will he opt out or stay in?

Also I would think Patrick Bernier would go a little higher. I'd like to see the Habs pick him up.

Don't know what to make of Andrew Andricopoulos, it will be interesting to see how he does down the road. Seems shaky at times but also seems like a decent gamble in the later rounds.

What kind of D is Benjamin Chaisson, as I didn't get to see any Shawinigan games this year.

And I know you just did first year guys but do you think Philippe Roberge will get drafted this summer?

la-la-laprise, I have a question for you. I really liked what I've seen from Bourret. But I heard that some scouts question his offensive potential (especially hands and finishing). Do you think he could turn into a great playmaker in the NHL, also do you think he'll be able to score goals in the big league?

I've watched Andricopoulos play in the Bridgewater Pro League over the past few weeks and he looks as though he hasn't improved at all in the past two years. Who is coaching the D on the Remparts? He still has terrific skills but he is very slow with his on ice reads and makes very poor passing decissions. There is very little checking in this league but he still coughs up the puck when he's under pressure! When he went up to the Q he was concidered a possible 1st round pick but from what I have seen lately I think he will fall to the late rounds.

He's this year's Mike Card. Early in the year was a probable first rounder, but went real real late in the draft after his stock plummeted. However, I think he'll blossom just like Card has done this year and be quite the steal.

A bit of both. He bulked up a bit too much over summer. Went from 170 to 194 on a 5'10 frame. That slowed him down. The coaching staff got him to get down to 180 and rewarded him by dressing him for most of the playoff games.

I still think he will be a good player in the league and last year Halifax carried 16 forwards so ice time for the younger guys was hard to come by.

Bernier is a great physical player but the kid has very little offensive upside and he isnt that tall, only 5'11. Where I have him ranked he should be a 8th rounder. Which is where I see him.

Ben Chaisson is a big kid, average mobility but he has been a bit of a project coming out of Midget. He has porgressed nicely and im sure an NHL team will take him in the 7th round or so.

I doubt Roberge will be picked. He was traded to D'ville mid way through the year and lost the starting job to PO Pelletier, which isnt a bad thing because Pelletier is a pretty good goalie. But being a 2nd year eligible player you really need to stand out. Like a Martin Houle or Maxime Joyal.

I honestly think Bourret's offensive game is underrated on these message boards. People think he will be a 3rd line type player when he makes the NHL but i dont think you can write off his offense. he has a snipers mentality and a lethal shot but he also has above average vision.

Its not the Remparts fault. Joey Ryan has improved ten fold and Marc-Edouard Vlasic came from no where to be their best defensmen and hes the same age as Andro.

Card was highly touted coming INTO his draft year. Unlike Elayoubi who basically had his stock come to a crash mid-way through his 16 year old season.

Heading INTO this year Elayoubi was thought of as a bust in terms of the NHL draft.

Where would you slot some of the import players, specifically Niklas Bergfors (St. John's)?

There are 3 high profile euros who should be picked in the draft early.

Bergfors - St-John's - Mid 1st round
Pavelec - Cape Breton - Late 1st round
Skorykh - PEI - Mid 2nd round

No kidding you ranked everybody eligible.....Wesley Welcher is about as likely to get drafted as I am. His year was abysmal. Of course, fresh scenery at home next year could dramatically change things.

I disagree with the order of most of the defencemen, but the forwards are pretty close to what I had.

Yea Wes had a rough year, hopefully he can get it back on track next season.

How would you rank the D? Im just curious. Everyone I know who has watched the Q extensivly pretty much has a different ranking of the dmen. There are a lot that are bunched together.

My D ratings were basically the same as the HF's QMJHL Top 40, with one or two switches. But you're absolutely right, there are a lot of defenders who are extremely close to each other. And with any year, one team liking a guy a lot can result in really screwing up "consensusu." For example, I wouldn't be shocked if MA Gragnani was the first QMJHL skater picked out of the first round (assuming Trukhno goes late one).

I think Brouillette & Lépine should have made the list; afterall you included some guys like Elayoubi, Poirier, Coles & Blouin.
