A few random thoughts/comments from the interview


- RG asked about Pysyk being the "old guy" at the camp". Pysyk --> he has talked with the younger guys but some of the new ones are pretty shy.

- RG asked about weird dynamic that he is becoming friends with a lot of these guys and helping them but at the same time they will be competitors for a NHL job with him. Pysyk --> its part of the game that you'll be competing with friends for jobs.

- RG asked what the Sabres wanted to get out of this camp. Pysyk --> the goal of camp from the team's pov was to see where they were at. Then get them on track for the rest of the summer.

- RG asked if Pysyk felt he had a leg up to make the team because of his play last year. Pysyk --> he didn't think so. That he just needs to go into camp with confidence and that will help him make the team. Also mentioned he wasn't fully comfortable with the speed of the NHL yet like he was in juniors and the AHL.

- RG asked what were things he has focused on this offseason. Pysyk --> he focused on power skating and shooting. RG also asked if the team was concerned about his weight and if they wanted him to bulk up. Pysyk --> just want him to focus on getting stronger.

- RG asked if he was concerned that the team drafted 2 dmen in the first round. Pysyk --> a little bit.

- RG asked what influence Teppo had after he got to the big club. Pysyk response --> Teppo has had influence on the dmen even when they were in Rochester. Teppo has watched video with them. Pysyk has tried to absorb as much as he could from those sessions.

- And on a lighter note RG asked who was best at Go carts. Pysyk --> It was Girgensons, he was crazy and fearless with his cart. he was using his phone to film himself while driving.

Bull has always been good with interviews. He's obviously way more knowledgeable about the Bills, but it's cool to see him covering some Sabres stuff now, too.

I've found him to be very good when I've had him on. He had a good interview with Peca yesterday. Most of the questions he asked I couldn't in a million years imagine the knuckled heads at WGR asking.

Considering how smooth Pysyk was during his call up. I found it interesting that he felt nervous during his entire call up.

I saw that on Twitter. Dude is crazy! Not entirely surprising given his whole style tho. Give 100% or 0%. Love it.
