Equipment: Putting blade at the top of a one piece

So I broke a couple one piece sticks and I put a couple two piece blades into the top instead of sawing down the bottom. Now, these two sticks are mid-flex sticks, so I'm assuming it won't mess with it as bad as if it was a low kick-point. Is this accurate? Anyone have experience with this?

it will change the feel regardless. the stick still tapers and the flex zones aren't necessarily symmetrical

I've done this, not a big deal. Obviously you'll want to use standard taper blades. Sometimes it feels fine, sometimes it feels awkwardly stiff. The older sticks that didn't have fancy flex areas worked way better than the current ones though.
