Teemu Pulkkinen has been acquired by the Coyotes.
XX called it in the speculation thread. Pulkkinen being on waivers likely prevented him from being part of the deal. The fact that he went on to clear means that the Coyotes can send him down to Tucson without him having to clear again (I think). I like that they're making moves for the AHL team this year now it's close to home.A few quick questions:
1) Why not include him in the Hanzal deal?
2) Why not claim him on waivers?
I mean, we didn't give up anything here, so just confusing logistics.
In any event, nice body for the Coyotes or the RRs.
I'm wondering if we claim Pulkkinen and then attempt to send him back down to the Roadrunners with the understanding that the Wild won't immediately reclaim him. He's currently on waivers so I don't think he could have been part of the final deal. 36 pts in 47gp for the Wild's AHL team would help, especially if Fischer gets called up.
One dimensional player

A line is 3 players - I thought you knew that Feck.
Well, Pulkkinen is total crap. But at least our PP should improve with him. Just feed him the puck. This kidd has an absolute bomb of a shot. Just has to hit the net
Always scores in the AHL but, for some reasons, lots of missed shots in the NHL even on the PP and when he has time and space. Strange. To be fair though, he never had a chance in Minnesota. Failed in Detroit but never was more than a warm body for the Wild. They clearly never had the intention to play him.
Only asset what Pulkkinen has to offer is his shot.
As a skater he's slow as a snail congrats for ''great'' deal.
Interesting way to get around needing waivers but I'm happy for Tucson that it happened. Only problem is that Pulkkinen is/was unhappy with the Wild because he thinks he's NHL caliber. Maybe clearing waivers humbled him.
No. Dave turned the page on Duclair last year. I have no idea why they kept him if he wasn't going to try to coach him instead of destroying him. They should have traded him the instant DinoDave decided he wasn't his type of player. I spent all summer saying it.
This might be this year's Plotnikov. Guy with some potential but tarnished shine. Warm body to play out the season. I find it hard to believe any other coach would play his guy over Duclair.
