[PS3] Realistic GM Connected League - Lineups V1 *BOLD PROPOSAL & IMPORTANT NEWS*

First, the rules for trading in this league are as follows:

1) Confirmation of five other team owners is required before any two teams can make a trade. This prevents highway robbery type trades, and also encourages a large number of GMs to be, and remain, active.

2) We will begin the season on September 21, 2012. No trades will be complete before September 21, as the trades are only complete when they've been allowed by the game (fitting necessary cap-space and roster size regulations). However, tentative deals can be made and confirmed in this thread. If a trade is made, confirmed by five other GMs, and then allowed by the game on September 21, the trade is for all intensive purposes, complete.

Fans are becoming to become restless with the lack of progress but the talent in youth is in spades. It may not be “the year†yet but it coming fast upon us.
The Islanders might not be contenders this year but they do plan on challenging for the playoffs, and the wait before they become perennial contenders is almost over, and the reward for the loyal fans is soon to come.

Offensively the workload is placed once again on John Tavares to improve on his 81 point season and become a star in this league.The supporting cast now includes Brad Boyes in hopes that we will reclaim his scoring touch.

Bailey (1,050,000) - Nielson (2,750,000) – Okposo (2,800,000)

The most glaring hole is the need for a true second line centre letting Nielsen drop down to 3rd line centre.

Grabner (3,000,000) - Cizikas (900,000) – Ullstrom (891,666)

Martin (RFA {1,200,000 aprox}) – Reasoner (1,350,000) – Joensuu (600,000)
Bolton (540,000)

The bottom two lines are filled with a collection of prospects that are hoping to become the unsung heroes of the team.




Streit (4,100,000) – Hamonic (875,000)

The development of Hamonic will continue to be the key for the future of the Islanders and will continue to try and become the #1 defensemen they need.

Visnovsky (5,600,000) – MacDonald (550,000)

He will count on the veteran presence that both Captain Streit and newly acquired Visnovsky bring.

Carkner (1,500,000) – deHann (1,470,000)
Donovan (875,000)

The spot beside Carkner is up for grabs but it seems like deHann will finally be able to stay on the NHL roster.

Instant Analysis

Due to the saga of Tim Thomas, the Boston Bruins were in need of a another goal-tender to partner with Tuka Rask. DiPietro when healthy is a former first overall that is still young and give the Bruins a solid presence in net. Also departing is defensemen Matt Donovan who ended up getting pushed out of a crowded Islanders blue line with the emergence of deHann and the drafting of Griffin Reinhart.

The Islanders are able to add a defensive and experienced player in Boychuk that will help solidify the team's back end. It is unknown if the trade goes through who he will pair up with as both Streit and Visnovsky are both on the trade block.

Overall it adds the goaltending depth that the Bruins need, while adding another solid piece to the puzzle for the Islanders.
