Hey Guys,

Welcome to the NHL 13 PS3 Be A Gm Connected league! I will be active everyday, updating everything.

READ BELOW BEFORE SIGNING UP!!!

However, there will be a different take on how this league will work. I am buying the game later today and will set everything up tonight but I want to run it differently then what I have seen on the boards. It seems that a lot of people want to play their games against other people and have one GM season take a couple of months to finish.

I on the other hand want to simulate many seasons in a couple of months to actually have teams have different players, more trades and to actually have a long dynasty mode going on.

I have not yet decided on how the schedule will be set yet but I will figure that out and post it later today.

Therefore, if you want to control a team and have it be run multiple seasons to see if you are the best GM then sign up.

Playoffs - I am not sure how you can set it but hopefully not best of seven as this will take too long. I was thinking best of three that would have to be all completed in a week so we can go on to the draft, etc., and then a new season will begin.

Trades:

I am not sure how they work yet in the game but I am thinking of having these rules in place.

1. You can make any trade you want with another Human club - However, if it seems suspicious I will investigate to determine if it is realistic or not. Example, if you trade your star player for a nobody then it would probably be rejected. However, if you traded a star player (because you didn't like him) for picks + a young gun then I would accept it. I want a lot of trades to happen in this league.

2. Human trades with CPU trades will be halted for a week or so to see if I can fill the league with 30 manual GMs. If after a week we can't fill out the teams then GM's can trade with CPU's etc.,

Also - If you have any comments or concerns please feel free to ask/post in this thread.

So if you want to join a league where you will experience multiple seasons in the span of a couple of months and not be stressed that you have to play your games. JOIN THE LEAGUE

IMPORTANT UPDATE!

Hi guys,

Sorry to inform you but I will be closing the league. Someone can takeover if they want but running the league as commissioner is painful. It takes super long to load menu's and to even set up rosters and actually manage the team. I wasted 2 hours trying to do stuff in the league and it was dreadful.

I read poster's complaints on the net but didn't think it would be this bad. You cannot even navigate that well to do anything.

I also read from other poster's where there is a bug about people trading the same guy twice, etc., which has bugged league's and have caused people to start from scratch.

To me this does not sound fun and sounds more like a chore and I'd much rather do other things with my time until EA fixes this.

I am thinking of trading my game in. Sorry guys and hope you all understand.

Trade talk - Idea - All trade block lists should be PM'ed to me and I will update the first 2-7 posts accordingly. Then if you skim through a list and want another team's player PM that guy whether through PSN or Hfboards and then submit trade via game, etc.,

Also - I will go through all trades that seem iffy or that other GM's question (if they can do that). But if a team wants to salary dumb a player that they seem is a bad contract or dont like the length I think this is a fair trade? Thoughts? example, someone trades Suter to another team for a top 4 dman + 2 prospects to save cap space? I don't mind that deal. I encourage trading and wouldn't really want to hamper it with too many restrictions?

Also - What do you guys think we should do about glitch goals, etc.? or bad behaviour? Use the honor system and if there are numerous complaints such as 3 or 5 times you are booted from league?

Also what glitch goals should and should not be allowed etc.? What is everyone's opinion on this matter?
