I am Swiss and my team in Switzerland is Bern
out of 12 teams in the NLA (national league A) 8 are selected for the playoffs.
Bern had a terrible year ...an although having the biggest budget in Switzerland among all teams (and the highest attendance in Europe including KHL), they were howering around the 10th rank during regular season to just rise to the 8th position 2 games before the end of regular season.
Among all teams, it was the team that all would have loved to avoid knowing the potential that was in it.
As said, after having qualified for the playoffs by a hair, now they are in final after having eliminated all teams in 4 games (best of 7), 5 games and now in final leading 2-1.
I do believe that the Preds are comparable. They qualified thanks to the Wild Card system.
But nobody wants to face them ... i am sure. And i am sure they are right.
i see the Preds advancing at least by 3 rounds. Then, we will see what they can do. But my bar is set at 3 rounds.
What is your view ?
