Connor Bedard will be in the lineup for the Pats
Hot take!
I really liked how Tanner Howe looked last year. He'll be having a year riding shotgun with 98 I would think.

Fair bit of turnover, lost some good OA's.
Be interesting to see what moves they make hosting Mem Cup this year.

Their top 6 is pretty elite. But bottom 6, is nothing to be excited about.

Traded a big piece in Lindgren, but also got another 1st rounder back. Ostapchuk, or Gunther.
Both would be solid gets. See a lot Guenther out west here - Ostapchuk looked legit U20s.
Outside of Blazers - Consensus Winnipeg/Seattle cream of the crop this year? Also any word on Lambert joining Seattle?

Man if Lambert actually reports an already sick Seattle team will be even better and a team worth watching.

There was some rumbling when Stoon traded his rights and again with him being healthied at U20s. I think it would be a wise move for him to join Seattle but haven't heard anything lately. I would imagine a decision is made in conjunction with Winnipeg after his first pro camp. Would def be a big boost for Seattle.

I just assumed that Seattle had a deal in place and that's why they gave up 2 draft picks, mind you there wasn't a first involved.

I think Lambert might also be eligible for the A this year as well? Also believe there's conditional draft picks involved if he were to report to Seattle. Interesting to see how it will shake out

Woo has really impressed me in all his showings, even getting into games as a 15yr old was fun to watch - Smart player.

Is REG likely to be a buyer or a seller this year? It would be cool to see Bedard on a really good team, so hopefully either REG loads up, or they trade him. Bedard going to Kamloops for a bunch of 1sts sounds fun :D

Brandon's team looking something like

Hyland/Danielson/Chaisson
Ginnell/Ritchie/McQueen
Henry/Polshakov/Zimmer
Thornton/Hadland/Chaloner

Hammett/Ward
Malyavin/Elick
Mantei/Harriss

Bjarnson
Jones

Its a fairly deep group. I think the top 2 lines should be good. A lot will depend on the 16 year olds. McQueen looks like a stud already. Elick is very similar to Braden Schnieder and will see a lot of ice time early. Hadland has been good so far at camp. Bjarnson should give them solid goaltending.

The east is going to be tough. Winnipeg is on top but MJ isn't far behind. Brandon is 3rd IMO but Regina is going to be a handful and the Blades are pretty good too.

I see roster shaking out same way, Calder Anderson would make a nice story but Ginnell has taken significant steps each year and is more deserving. Would be surprised to see them break up Ritchie/Chaisson. McQueen looks like the real deal and should be fed minutes - Completely agree w/Elick on back-end. Danielson potentially a top 10 pick this summer.

Expect Brandon to come out higher in their division (east) See them anywhere from 2-4 spot would be my estimation.

The Central looked quite different, especially with Lethbridge finishing 2nd, but other than that, this aged really well.
