The question that Team Canada will have to ask themselves is: do they want a 38-year-old Crosby skating anywhere in their top 6 at a best-on-best Olympic tournament?

If the answer is no, then it is time to plug him into a sheltered role now, and let the MVP caliber guys in McDavid and MacKinnon run that top 6 with younger wingers they can try to find some chemistry with at this Four Nations tournament.

2nd line: Nashville chemistry between 48 goal scorer and elite puck carrier Forsberg and his supporting cast Nyqvist. Put Zibanejad in the middle and there's loads of physicality, goalscoring and skill in that line.
3rd line: Carlsson will come into his own as a young flashy player with superstar potential. Raymond is that to a lesser degree but is closer to his peak level. Both can create on their own so with elite net front presence, grit and defence from Eriksson Ek that will create even more space for the youngsters.
4th line: Elite checking line that can also produce on the big stage. All three are top line quality players in the NHL.

1st pairing: Two legends of the game and future HOFers who will have their last party together.
2nd pairing: Elite defense combined with superstar/generational offensive upside
3rd pairing: Elite piaring consisting of two borderline #1 Ds in the NHL.

Starting Goalie: The reigning Vezina winner
