Favre is obviously a lock.

If we're just looking at play on the field, I'd put T.O. in this year as well.

This might be stupid, but i have a feeling Atwater and Holt get in. Both guys got cards as "legends" in this year's Madden ultimate team, so now would be time to get them in since they might be a bit more recognizable. Atwater deserves to be there imo, even though only the more hardcore football fans know how good he was. Brian Dawkins before Brian Dawkins ever put up a helmet. Holt is obviously a no brainer at some point.

Is there a specific limit to how many guys get in, or is it just like baseball where whoever has enough votes is good?

If it isn't i go; Favre, Pace, Coryell, Davis, Andersen, one of Warner/Owens and Atwater.

Owens being a headcase is going to keep him out, at the very least for a little while.

Eventually you will have to put him in given his stats and him being one of the greatest WR's of all time.

Longevity is keeping Terrell Davis out. People don't want to vote in someone who only had 3 great years.

TO won't get in yet, he pissed off too many people.

Favre, Harrison and Pace should be locks.

I've seen it done on a couple sites, but we should get the ol "Is X a hall of famer?" type polls going.

I'd love to hear from the pretty good and knowledgeable bunch on a bunch of the maybes on that list (Warner, Davis, Atwater, Thomas etc.)

Atwater was Kam Chancellor before Kam. 6'3" 230 lb FS that could create turnovers and had the range to cover man to man. Plus the biggest hitter of his day.

I wonder if the concussion issue is hamstringing his candidacy now, but it's still hard not to be impressed by him absolutely sewing Okoye's ass to his face.

Favre is an absolute lock.

Warner should get in IMO.

TO definitely, hopefully after last year theyve realized how great he was.

Bruce & Harrison might be hurt by playing with great QBs, although Irvin did get in so who knows.

Kinda surprised Dungy isnt in.

The only reason why Harrison isn't in already is because there's a good chance he's a murderer.

Ray Lewis shouldn't get in either then, in that case.
There was never really any strong evidence that Lewis killed anybody, which is basically the opposite of Harrison, who has strong evidence against him that he went full Hernandez. Additionally, Lewis never had any legal issues at all after that, where as Harrison has had repeated issues.

With that said, I don't think the hall of fame should take into account anything that happens off the field. This isn't a morality contest.

he did plea guilty of obstruction and admitted to destroying evidence.

That said, voters might prefer a potential murderer over TO.

Favre and Pace are locks

All of the WRs belong in but only one will cause they refuse to elect 2 of the same position for some reason. (Warner has to wait for the same reason) I'm guessing Harrison gets the nod cause voters will make TO wait.

So I'm gonna predict: Favre, Pace, Harrison, Atwater and one of the coaches.

Short peak, but arguably one of the greatest stories in the history of the sport.

Goes from a jabroni bagging groceries and stocking shelves to the MVP of the NFL in a few short years. He'll be there.

Sorry, but if players like Joe Namath can get in on "importance", then i argue Warner should too since his impact is big too. It shows all guys who don't get drafted to never stop quitting. Warner's image is also big too. A clean cut, good guy wholesome type who went on the achieve great things.

Oh hell get in, but he might have to wait more. There's also the perception that Martz would have been better off passing a bit less and giving Faulk the ball more.

Warner's importance to football history isn't within pissing distance after eating asparagus of Namath's.

HOF technically by their bylaws cannot take off-field issues into account, though voters probably do anyways. That's why Darren Sharper was listed as a nominee originally.

Plus, there's already precedent for a murderer in the hall. OJ Simpson remains enshrined.

The big difference is OJ did it after he was enshrined. Meanwhile Jim Tyrer is still out.

How many QBs have taken multiple teams to Super Bowls? The list can't be long. And look at what the two teams Warner took to the Super Bowl before and after his time there. He certainly should be in.
