President Kennedy cared deeply about the image of America, and about American performances on the world stage. It's so great listening to this.

As was reported by UPI: "The score would have been worse if [U.S. goalie Ron] Chisholm hadn't performed well. He turned away 62 shots and got a sympathetic cheer from the 15,127 Swedish fans at the end of the mismatch."

Where the heck were the U.S. defensemen?

Right? One would think that Chelios would have at least stabilized the blueline some.
