Maybe on paper but many empty seats. Similar crowd to what I have seen at Roadrunner games. That said, it was a decent crowd. But expected a larger crowd since it was 1st ever NHL game even if only preseason. Don't know arena capacity but I would say 2/3 full.

TCC's hockey capacity is 6,800. So the ~5,000 number was pretty close.

BTW anyone hear Bis during the last 5 minutes of the Yotes- Ducks postgame? He threw the main sponsor under the bus. When asked if he had visited the Gila River Casinos, Bis told Heeter that he works too hard for his money to have a casino take it away for him. He then epounded that casinos aren't there to give you money, but to take it away.

 whoops.

Well, I'm sure someone will point out that you don't have to gamble to be entertained at their casinos...there's live music, Shula's steakhouse, ummm, other things I'm sure...

Holy Crapola - He did the same thing after the San Jose game Saturday night!

Me thinks Biz may not be smart enough to last, that or they want some bold crazy Az gunslinger behind the mic! :dunno:

The Coyotes brought back Nick Boynton after he got drunk at a casino and kicked the **** out of someone. Would be kind of petty if they accept that and not this.

A good prosecutor knows the answer to a question before asking it. Heeter needs to employ the same tactic with Biz.

Oh sure, put it on the Heater.

But this is a sponsor, a sponsor of the very arena they play in - just crazy (to me anyway) that he's said this twice, like it's part of his schtik.

The sponser doesn't care. Nobody listens to Bill Burr's Monday morning podcast?

Don't know about the podcast , this was on the radio driving home after the game - might make folks think twice about heading to the casino, if they'd been inclined to.

If it's funny and gets attention, the sponser will be fine. Bill Burr reading the ads is literally the best part of his podcast. He destroys his sponsors. It's hilarious.

I/we certainly find it funny, quite unorthodox for a sponsor though - curious to see if he keeps it up!

Bill Burr the comedian? Just occurred to me :dunce: Oh well, I'm enjoying emoji time!
