I'm thinking that Marner and Nylander may be playing in this game.

Marincin, Polak, Harrington and Robidas are probably 4 of the D.

I had thought they would of broken up Marner and Nylander to spread it out a bit.

Possible as well.

Panik - Holland - Marner very well might be the top line for this game, while Nylander's line with Komarov and Kapanen could be the 2nd/3rd line for the Toronto game.

In Toronto

JVR - Bozak - Brown
Komarov - Nylander - Kapanen
Grabner - Gauthier Boyes

In Ottawa

Panik - Holland - Marner
Glencross - Carrick - Setoguchi
Winnik - Spaling - Parenteau

Matthias - Kadri - Lupul goes to 1 game, Leivo-Froese-Frattin/Arcobello-Hyman-Leipsic to the other.

I'm thinking that's how it'll be done. Who knows though.

Very possible, they could also try to hide Marner on a 2nd or 3rd line as a centre rather then top line wing duties.

One thing that I saw out of the rookie tournament was that Marner is ridiculously talented but needs to work on core/leg strength and put on some weight. He would be in tough doing a lot of the centre duties right now, and thus that is why he is on the wing.

Pretty solid lineup we're sending to Ottawa. Pretty good mix of youth and veterans.

If that is the top line, is that ever sad!

I'd say Winnik - Spaling - Parenteau is easily better.

Okay, above is better, Kadri and Lupul are at least top 6 forwards, they others are hopefuls and depth players.

I was surprised with all the talk about Marner at center they played him on Holland's wing in the scrimmages.

Maybe they're going to try that experiment in London instead?

I'll guess the lines for this game:

Matthias - Kadri - Lupul
Glencross - Holland - Boyes
Leivo - Arcobello - Kapanen
Hyman - Gauthier - Frattin/Bailey

Scratched: Clune, Bailey/Frattin, Timashov, Froese

Hunwick - Phaneuf
Brennan - Robidas
Valiev/Dermott - Harrington

scratched: Valiev/Dermott, Nielsen

Reimer
Sparks

I think that has to do with the expectation is Marner is going back to London anyway so they want to see what players, who are expected to make a push for a roster spot, are able to play centre

From what I've read they've had Phaneuf and Hunwick together.

I wonder if they might put Dermott in as his options are NHL or CHL, so he might be headed to junior sooner than Valiev to the minors?

It appears Babcock wants very strong bottom 6 checking lines and that may be the reason for

Grabner - Gauthier - Boyes and Winnik - Spaling - Parenteau

...

A few points based on this roster. Who will ply with Kadri and Lupul? That will be interesting. And I am really surprised to see Dion here, not back in TO.

Also, I wanted to see Kapanen playing with Nylander. But they are split up for these games. Oh well, I trust that the coaches are doing what is best.

Maybe? I'm not sure. And you're right that Phaneuf was paired with Hunwick in the scrimmages. I did a quick edit of that.

What Bert said.

Marner's a lock to play C in London this year.

Matthias was lined with Kadri and Lupul. I'm sure we'll see that tonight.

Looks like Babcock is trying to deploy Hunwick like the new Carl Gunnarsson and partner for Dion.
