I also do generally think Klopp cares that footballers aren't hurt, and keep their livelihood. He is going to try and win as many football matches as he can, and sometimes that's at odds with some of the fitness of players... but I do think he generally wants every player to be healthy doing it.

Yes, it would clearly benefit Liverpool to do it. They would do planned subs at 60 on the regular (like he's done in CL matches where he could). But I do think his statement in this situation isn't just in his personal interest.
