I'm really apprehensive about the next month. 12 games, 8 road, 4 home, all against tough Western Conference teams. How do you think we're gonna do?

I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for a winning record.........................

The Extra Point reports that the Bolts have a 99.1% chance of making the playoffs and only need go 14-19 the rest of the season.

If we show up in Feb. like we did tonight, we arguably could win them all.

In reality? I'd say we'll go 60/40 for wins/loss.

February is tough but March is looking pretty good. The Wings only have 2 home games in February ouch.

It's hard to predict what will happen, hopefully the team is up for it. I am nervous about the 3 sets of b2b that they will play against some really hard teams. I mean:

Kings and Ducks at home
Sharks and Kings away
Coyotes and Avs away

Which goalie will we pick for those games, I mean if Nabby lets in 4 goals against the flyers how will he do against those top teams? It's pretty much a pick your poison thing and it could get ugly...unless, and this would be my wish, that we bring Vasy or Guds up for the month of February, could be a good test for them. But like I said, we'll see how it goes, will be a tough month either way.

If the PP works hard and scores close to a goal per game, and the road PK is middle of the pack, we'll be okay. But we've been a different team on the road this year, and that's with a hodgepodge of opponents. A west coast road trip looks like a nightmare right now. This is where I think the spotlight is on a coach's motivational powers.

One small benefit is that we're finally going to get some days off between games. We had a pretty tiring schedule in the first half +.

As for a prediction, I'll say the home games buoy us: 6-5-1.

3-1 at home, and a respectable 3-4-1 on the road.

Can't see us coming out of February on top of the Atlantic though. Aside from a few games, Montreal's February is comparatively easy. Buffalo, Arizona, and NJ to start. Edmonton. Two games vs. Toronto.

Luckily, Detroit is in a lot tougher and have 9 of 11 games on the road and they'll be finishing the month with their own west coast trip.

I think this is the run this team uses to come together and start something special.

We go 7-3-1 or better.

Boy, what a rough month! Back-to-back against the Kings and Ducks at home, followed by 3 games in 4 days in California, followed by another back-to-back in Glendale and Denver - all that during a 5-game road trip in 8 days. To top it all off we'll also face the Preds, Blues and Hawks in February.

Is .500 even possible?

It's a tough road, but if we want to be considered an elite team, we should perform in this instance. We're (relatively) healthy, with just a #4 and #5 Dman out, so the only excuses we can use if we lose is the other team was better.

This is the test - let's see how good this team really is.

You forgot our #1 Center is playing hurt and that line is not producing offensively because of it.
