They played a master class of defense against Colorado. Our PK is better than it's ever been. Defensive structure is bad? I don't get it.

Yes their defensive structure is still bad as they give up way too many cross seams, wide open looks, breakaway etc. Even against Colorado they had their bad moments. Until they show a more consistent approach to the defensive side of the ice they'll have problems with their structure

IMO, they have moments of good defensive structure and moments of bad defensive structure -- which is a helluva lot better than their "all bad, all the time" mantra last year.

What is a team that plays a complete game, never gives up cross ice passes, wide open looks, breakaways?

Colorado is a cup favorite team and they allowed all those things against the Sabres.

They didn't bury themselves after a slow start, but I think this is the month they break out as our top guys start to feel it and they go on a nice heater to close out the month. 9-5

Really? I thought the team defense has been steadily improving (minus whatever the hell that was in the last five minutes in OTT).

I think our biggest problem is we give up the blue line as if we're rolling out the red carpet. Make them work to come into the zone. That changes, this team is dangerous.
