Good news: we don't have a losing skid.
Bad news: we struggle to find defensive consistency

We lose the first 6, everyone on here goes into full on panic mode. Then we go into a 10 game winning streak making everyone think the team is amazing. Then we have the biggest losing streak in NHL history and the Sens end up with a record of 10-72-0.

:sarcasm:

Honestlt Sens fans are out of control on Twitter. I wish they would be cautiously optimistic. Even Brady has been trying to pump the brakes. These new bandwagon fans are in for a rude awakening. These guys have to play NOW with expectations like never before. This is going to be tough until they can figure out how to play with that type of pressure

We'll get on a roll after and I think we'll compete for a playoff spot. But some pains first.

Close to .500 seems like a realistic outcome even though it could really go both ways.

Zub is still getting back from Injury so might not be 100% to start.

Talbot is injured so a lot depends on Forsberg. Even though I'm confident enough in him, he will play under very different circumstances this season with a lot of pressure, which is something he's never faced in Ottawa and in his career.

The defense isn't much better than last season so a lot will depend on Sanderson's play to start. He will make mistakes and these mistakes on D are often costly. Defense needs to play fast and transition, can Brannstrom play a role here and keep up his pre-season play?

I have confidence in the forward group as it is. I really like that they swapped Stutzle and Norris because that second line had no traction. Pinto line will be great. 4rth line will have options, so a lot of confidence there. PP and PK should be strong too.

I'm optimistic, but there's a lot of questions on the backend and with the goalies.

5-4-1 is my guess.
