As there is literaly no hockey atm and I havent´t found a thread about how our players perform point wise in 20/21 so I started one:

McDavid 121p.
Drai 112p.
RNH 78p.
Yama 69p.
Kahun 53p.
Pulju 49p.
Ennis 39p.
Kassian 33p.
Turris 29p.
Archi 22p.
Neal 19p.
Chiasson 17p.
Khaira 9p.
Benson 8p.
Marody 2p.

on D:

Barrie 41p.
Nurse 29p.
Bear 27p.
Jones 19p.
Bouchard 17p.
Larsson 12p.
Russel 10p.
Broberg 4p.
Lagesson 2p.

Feel free to guess only top6/top9 and/or top4 D or some goalie stats.

I’m going off the discussed 60 ish games they probably play

McDavid 105
Drai 95
RNH 65
Yama 40
Kahun 40
Pulju 15
Ennis 30
Kassian 35
Turris 20
Archi 25
Neal 30
Chiasson 15

on D:

Barrie 55
Nurse 30
Bear 20
Jones 20
Bouchard 15
Larsson 10
Russel 10
Lagesson 2

IMO I think Barrie/Mcdavid/Drai are going to be monsters in a shortened and condensed season, absolutely feasting on the PP. I think Bear regresses, Jones progresses. Bouchard I think is a regular after the first injury.

I’ll do our goalies too

Koskinen- 25-15 .915svp
Smith 5-5 .880 SVP
Forsberg 7-3 910 SVP

I think Smith is in the PB by game 40. Forsberg is the backup by seasons end, with many having hope for him to be the starter the following season. Renewing the optimism on him. We finish roughly 37-23. Probably good enough for second in our division, likely slightly worse than that

Im gonna go with 82 game projections since we don’t know how many games are gonna be played, but is pretty much guaranteed we’ll have a shortened season.

Forwards:
Mcdavid - 125
Drai - 112
Nuge - 77
Yamo - 53
Kahun - 46
Turris - 37
Kassian - 35
Ennis - 34
Pulju - 30
Neal - 30
Archibald - 22
Chiasson - 12
Khaira - 10
Haas - 8

Defence:
Barrie - 62
Nurse - 35
Bear - 28
Jones - 19
Bouchard - 11
Larsson - 11
Russel - 9
Lagesson - 3

I’ll guess we see ~270 goals for, gotta keep the GA down.

As far as the goalies go, I think Koskinen will put up similar numbers to last year. Smith will be ass and another goalie will need to be brought in whether that’s by trade or just Forsberg being called up.

I got roasted on the main boards for saying Oilers would score 270+ this year. I think it’s inevitable.. I like your point predictions. Agree with Turris.. I got him closer to 45+ imo

cheers

People forget Smith is 38, nearing 39 when the season starts, already well on his way of a sharp decline, has only started 1 game since last March.

I know he says age is just a number, but age is not going to be kind to him given the past 8 months circumstances and his career, like I mentioned, already started decline.

To say he will put up better numbers this season is a hotter take IMO then saying he likely has only 15-20 NHL games left in him, and those games won’t be pretty

The goalie prediction is interesting. Forsberg stepping up and out performing Smith for the back up role is a very plausible possibility.

I know they won't play 82 games, but it makes it more familiar to base it on what we're used to:

Kahun - 41
Neal - 37
Turris - 35
