Now that we have seen a few games with our new coach, what do people predict his coaching record will be by seasons end?

Took over with 42 games remaining and current record 1-2-0 & 39 games to go.

What will Leafs record be in the 42 games under his direction?

Will he coach the Leafs into the playoffs?

Management plays a role in this by selling of some pieces.

Actually thinking about it makes it seem hard that they could even finish with this record.

He will coach into the playoffs for certainly.

Prediction: Prognosis positive: Hora with the 22-16-4 record

8th spot and prevail into the deep playoff run. It's so fun.

All losses from here on out.

Horachek extension in offseason.

Okay, but actually I do predict a losing record, helped along by "selling" a couple players at the deadline not named Kessel or Phaneuf. Drop into top 10 pick territory again.

We'll see if I'm wrong.

At least it looks like Horachek is TRYING to fix the problems by changing the system. That may be a moral victory only at this point, but I'll take it!

I predict the Leafs will have the number of wins, as predicted by their Corsi For Percentage.

Leafs won't make it to the playoffs. Florida is playing well have has many games in hand while Boston is starting to get their game back. Washington has been performing pretty well with Trotz, with Carlsson, Orpik and Green leading the way (for defenseman). NYR, NYI, Detroit, Pens, Tampa and Montreal are a better team than Toronto.

Prediction:

42 games, 17 W, 22 L, 3 OT

However, I do like the way they are playing so that's a positive direction for a long-term success, IMO.

Carlyle after 40 games is

21-16-3 for a 0.563 win percentage.

It will be interesting to see what Horacek's win-loss record is the last 42 games.

A .333 win % should do this. Leafs are a bubble team regardless of what system they play. If we get the 10th pick, we should get a very good player if our scouting has learned a thing about rounded players.

(shrug). i trust Hunter, and despite the flack he gets, I trust Morrison etc to find a good one.

37--3-2

Leafs become next power house, shut down their way to the final.

Make it to game 7 stanley cup OT, bernier pulls his groin with 12 minutes left in the third, with the leafs leading by three goals.

Reimer goes in net, everyone cries because he'll lose, and he shuts the door, leafs win the cup.

1-2 record so far with 39 games left so...

14-21-4

I think he's a decent coach, but you need the players that can play that style, and we don't have them. Sadly, I don't think management believes that

11-24-4 is my guess. This team is trying to recreate its identity and they will struggle the rest of the way. I can see most of the remaining games being tight games that are lost by 1-2 goals.

nope. it'll be 12 consecutive years without the playoffs except the memorable half-season with the historic 7th game exit.

I look at the players on the ice after a loss... and just shake my head lol. This is just another collection of players in Leaf sweaters that will accomplish nothing and eventually be moved out. They're nothing but a congregation of nobodies who'll all be forgotten in due time just like all other players in the last 12 years. And the merry-go-round goes round and round and round and round and round and
