Even with a healthy Vis, I just doubt JT will have enough help on the blueline to get over the 100 points. Plus, I think the Brock Nelson transition may take a month or two.

There is big potential there. Sure, losing Vanek could hurt a bit, but not having a floater on that line anymore could make them/him even more dangerous. I could see this line being relentless, and depending on how much chemistry they gain with Brock, they could end up being even more lethal than they were last season.

Not to mention, Tavares is still developing. He seems to come in a bit improved in different areas each season. I don't doubt that we'll see more of the same next year.

I expect 90-99. I'm hoping for 100+. Hopefully he has a monster year.

Basically sums it up for me.

I would love Tavares to hit that 100 point mark and stick it to HF.

Didn't realize Nelson played 72 games. He looked good but his point per game ratio was way lower than I thought. Should get a nice boost this season though.

Lee was impressive in his short stint of 22 games. Will be interesting to watch who progresses faster between him and Nelson.

Grabner will need to be the dangerous player he was a few years ago. His skill set should net at least a .5 ppg ratio.

Unfortunately Nelson wasn't handled too well for the first 1/3 of the season. Kept getting bounced around between the 4th line and the press box. I think Tavares at least recognized the offensive potential of this guy, which is why he apparently vouched to have him replace Vanek on his LW.

Went with 90-99, but I wouldn't be too shocked if he went off and hit 100 or more.

Oh, and since I feel this is at least somewhat related, yesterday a Rangers fan tried to convince me that Brassard was a better player than JT.

I'm sure that he's the only Ranger fan, but still... that's pretty bad.

Honestly, I'd probably take Bailey over Brassard. They both produced essentially the same point totals(Bailey actually had one more ES point in 4 less games). He's still 2 years younger, and is making almost $2M less.

I thought Bailey's contract was awful!:sarcasm:

45-56-101 my optimistic prediction. I think our PP will improve with Strome/Nelson/Grabovski. I also think Nelson will help to keep the puck in the offensive zone moreso than Vanek/Moulson have in the past.

Tavares has always been a prolific goal scorer.
He is overdue. I voted 90-99. If Brennan can bring offense from the blue line and the power play works like it could, he could break 100. The talent and drive are there.

i see something along the lines of 36-61-97 pts this year for tavares. I wouldnt be surprised if he scored 40 and broke 100 pts tho. I worry about him being a little rusty/tentative because of his injury, but I feel like he's the kind of player that will come back with relative ease.

I think he's better than a PPG.....If I wanted to be specific....

41-51-92......though IF Nelson finds the kind of chemistry Vanek had AND hustles, I see JT threatening 100 or breaking it if certain coaching matters (PP, breakout, defensive zone) are improved upon properly.

Now let's see triple digits. :naughty:

That was my exact thought when I read that! :handclap:

I'd be happy with a full year from JT at PPG or a little over. I'm not sure he breaks 90pts so I voted in the lower bracket.

Having said that I'd be happy if we made the playoffs even if JT misses PPG!;)
