Yeah makes no sense to move him unless you're getting another Jeannot like deal.
Surprised he would want to stay, TBH. Nashville seem to never give him the ice time or PP time he deserves, yet he keeps producing considering. We could guarantee him second line minutes and 1st line PP in Montreal! Several other weaker NHL teams could too.

In nashville he gets a world class city, good work / life balance (light media scrutiny) , no income tax, golf 10 months of the year, beautiful women, elite southern culture

No offense to Montreal or the weaker teams but he'd have a better shot at competing with a team who has Saros, Josi, Forsberg and O'Reilly currently.

Montreal is a world class city also, and it is not 9 months of winter. Is the weather better in Nashville, yes, main reason not to play in Montreal, No.
Some people thrive in being an idol/icon in a hockey mad city.

I went to hockey camp In Quebec for a few years... Montreal aint got shit on Nashville...QC is a beautiful city in the same aspect as Charleston or Savannah, but unless I was a Francophone Canadian, I wouldn't want to live there ...esp with those taxes and govt regulation
