This is the game where Sacco will roll out his revolutionary Reverse Hedgehog Defenseâ„¢.

Avs win 3-1.

To add to that, we play SJS after ANA.

This is going to be one tough stretch of games.

I always knew that I was good at predictions.
Thanks a lot!

And I picked + 1 because we will never win the lottery!

Unfortunately (for my predicted tank) I really see us winning this game.
NSH is not really good offensively so our trainwreck might hold up and I don't know what Sacco and everyone else will say about
the Oilers game but if this does not light a fire under everyone's ass than I don't know what will...

To whoever is throwing up there avatar bet for this game, the challenge should be: What will be O'Byrne's first mistake? :sarcasm:

We have an ugly record against a fairly easy schedule so far. Things are going to get abysmally bad really fast.

Wow. You are right. We played only four ! games against the current best 8 teams in the West.
Sj x1, Ana x1, Dal x1 and Van x1.
The other 9 games were played against bad teams or slow starting teams.

Seth here we come.
I just realized that with this schedule it should be easier to tank for a team in the West as it should be for a team in the East. Looks solid.... (for the Jackets ;))

We can't draft Seth Jones. Kroenke will force him to play for the Nuggets.

What a stupid start time for this game.

I love it :D
I planned to go out that day but I guess I will postpone it ;)
And Seth Jones would be a hell of a Point guard. I can just see him stick handling through the paint and than throwing a cross-court rocket to McGee who completely fumbles it and somehow throws it into their own basket ;)

Oh and he could just smack Garnett in the head with his stick or even better drop the gloves with him. Would love it.

I was trying to stay realistic so I put O'Byrne as -5 for this game.

We'll lose 1-7. Mitchell with our goal.
O'Byrne will be on the ice for every goal they score, but 2 of them will be on the PP.
Mitchell, Hejduk and Barrie will be +1.
Staz and Jones combine a -8.

Duchene will get injured, as will Mitchell later on in the game.
Hunwick will be turned into center after Duchene gets injured and Sacco makes him take defensive zone faceoffs.
Then when he fails with it he will get benched until we get a PP.
O'Byrne and Zanon will be the D-men with the most ice-time.

After the game Sacco will praise our effort and demand more offense from our back-end.
He will also say we need to grind it out more and get into the dirty areas.
He will also say that we didn't get pucks in deep and didn't have a good forecheck.

We will have a bag-skate the day after the game where PAP, Barrie and McGinn will get injured.
O'Reilly's father will write a tweet about how a company can't work properly without having the most important cog in place.

Could a trade be in the works?

Could be. But I guess he just wants to send a message to his "vets".
We gave up 55 shots (85 attempts or sth) to the freaking Oilers.
And the only guy who looked halfway decent was the one who was playing in the AHL not that long ago and the one Scracco loved to Sacc for the last few games. So I guess he is not happy with his vets and will sit as many as he can. ROB, SOB, Hunwick, Zanon.
Roll a dice....

How about both Gaunce and Elliott?

I'd love if we would waive Hunwick, trade O'Byrne and then call-up Gaunce, Elliott and Pöck.

This would lead to pairings:

Pöck-Barrie
Hejda-Elliott
SOB-Gaunce
Zanon

And then when EJ and Wilson are back we should waive/trade Zanon and send down Pöck/Gaunce and roll with

Wilson-EJ
Hejda-Elliott
SOB-Barrie
