1. Vancouver Giants (BC) - Led by Bowen Byram, they have all the boxes checked. Excellent goaltending, dominant defensive group, and fire power up front.
2. Saskatoon Blades (East) - High octane forward group with Dach, Florchuk, Wouters, Hughes, Crnkovic, and more. Have rounded out their back end, and Maier should have a big year.
3. Calgary Hitmen (Central) - Malm and Kastelic could be the two best 20's in the league, the back end is loaded with Zamula and Woo, Jack McNaughton needs to come up big.
4. Edmonton Oil Kings (Central) - Losing 3 key pieces from last years team really hurts, but they have a very skilled and experienced blue line. The young guns will need to score.
5. Prince Albert Raiders (East) - Pachal, Guhle, and Martin on the back end is huge given the losses up front. Protas and Fonstad are poised for a big year. The team needs a goalie.
6. Kamloops Blazers (BC) - High end speed and skill all across the roster. Franklin, Zary, and Centazzo are electrifying, Dylan Garand will need to make some stops.
7. Kelowna Rockets (BC) - Still need to add some pieces up front, a lot of pressure on Basran. Could see them loading up like Red Deer a few years back.
8. Brandon Wheat Kings (East) - No more Mattheos, but perhaps a more well rounded team with Burzan, Kallionkieli, Greig, and Gutenberg ready to fill the net.
9. Medicine Hat Tigers (Central) - The Tigers have some gunners up front with Hamblin, Chyzowski, Preziuso, and Kemp. Sogaard is a difference maker. D needs to take a step.
10. Lethbridge Hurricanes (Central) - Wildcard team of the year - do they load up or trade off? Cozens and Addison would land a nice return, recently added Jerome and Kambeitz.
11. Portland Winterhawks (U.S.) - Paterson is a big loss but they have the best up and coming prospect pool. Hanas and Jarvis are electric, Hofer can stop a puck or two.
12. Everett Silvertips (U.S.) - They're always in the mix. Good looking defensive group and rock solid in net. Will need to find scoring up front but they usually have a guy or two.
13. Red Deer Rebels (Central) - Experienced squad, balanced throughout the lineup and have one of the best netminders in the league. Will need to fill Hagel's shoes.
14. Winnipeg Ice (East) - Another wildcard team. A lot of their success will be in the hands of the euro's. Could move Krebs at the deadline for a boatload, or they could be in a playoff race.
15. Spokane Chiefs (U.S.) - They'll be in the mix for second place in the division but at some point they will have to look at re-tooling. A lot of valuable pieces in terms of trade pieces.
16. Tri-City Americans (U.S.) - They'll be in a tight race for 4th with Seattle. Mutala should have a big year but the team doesn't have much depth. Beck warm can steal games.
17. Victoria Royals (BC) - They're always competitive but it looks like the Royals are ready to re-tool. Haden and Oliver could be deadline pick ups, though they might surprise.
18. Regina Pats (East) - If there's a team that's going to surprise, it's the Pats. Excellent trio of 99's and Paddock in net. Tough division should keep them out of playoffs.
19. Seattle Thunderbirds (U.S.) - They're loaded with young guns in Mount, Roulette, Uchacz, and have some skilled vets, just not sure they have the depth to pass Spokane or TC.
20. Prince George Cougars (BC) - Don't have the guns to take out KAM, KEL, or VAN but might keep it tight with VIC. One or two more years before they're competitive.
21. Moose Jaw Warriors (East) - Possibly losing Almeida, Brook, and Yeryomenko, Tracey is on an island by himself. No Evanoff for the first few weeks hurts bad.
22. Swift Current Broncos (Central) - Still some work to do. Will see if they sell off some 00's and 01's near the deadline. King, Chorney, Horning will carry a big load.
