Nah, he was giving a a follow-up overview of a player, but then stopped and went silent mid-sentence and silently stood there with the camera on him for like 10+ seconds. It is likely someone told him he wasn't on the air, but he actually was.

Just pointing out that Laferriere, who is a few months younger than Kaliyev, has been put in a role with skilled players who complement his skillset, and is doing very well.

He wasn't forced to play on the bottom-six or told to play a different type of game before "earning" a shot.

They're handling him exactly as they should. It's almost like playing to the strength of your prospects matters.

He didn't get an assist on Dubois' goal, but his front-net presence forced the Sharks defenseman to respect him. That bought Fiala and PLD more time and space for the pass and shot.
