How come Nick Foligno played for USA but Marcus is playing for Canada? How does that work? They are brothers right?

I'll be there! I hope its a good game and Sweden can adjust to life without their equipment! I also hope no waffles are thrown, as Canada CAN win games.

Prediction: Canada 4 Sweden 2

Father played in Buffalo (Sabres) when they were born. I assume they have dual citizenship and have the right to choose ala (Pominville, Kozun, Myers, Couturier). Nick was with the NTDP and stuck with USA hockey. Marcus felt Canada was the better way to go.

Nick was born in Buffalo when his dad played for the Buffalo Sabres. Marcus was born when Mike(Father) was playing for Toronto and living in Canada. Thus giving one dual citizenship with the option to play for either countries and the other the gift of playing solely for Canada.

Not overly optimistic with this being first game on small ice for the players in a while(except Landeskog). Lehner will have to stand on his head in the first period.

Excited to see Jarnkrok, Landeskog, and Lander for the first time, and how Despres fares against a top team.

I don't know, a bunch of sites including the sabres official site have him born in buffalo. I think it's just a matter of him choosing canada.

DEVILS ALL THE WAY*

Can't wait to see Adam Larsson in action. Judging by what I hear, he would look ****ing sexy in a Devils uniform next year !!! No more grenade handling defensive d-men ala Colin White and in with a smooth skating PMD that can log solid minutes.

Lou is stock pilling the Swedes in the past couple of drafts (Tedenby, Josefson, Urbom and possibly Larsson).

Tank 4 Larsson :yo:

Can't wait to see how Larsson and Landeskog look against Canada. This game should be much closer than the blowout against Switzerland last night so I'm very excited. I think think Canada is the team to beat in this tournament.

i will be there

i figure canada will keep up the intense pace they showed last night and run 4 strong lines all over a swede lineup that lacks depth of past teams

go canada!

Are the Swe-lineup set in stone?
Lindberg really struck out... got the rubbish wings. Why not play him with Klingberg like in camp?

This is the lines I'd like to see for Canada :

8 Jaden Schwartz - 7 Sean Couturier - 20 Louis Leblanc
17 Marcus Foligno - 10 Brayden Schenn (A) - 9 Zack Kassian
21 Cody Eakin - 19 Ryan Johansen - 28 Brett Connolly
12 Quinton Howden - 11 Casey Cizikas - 25 Carter Ashton
-
Extra Forward:
16 Curtis Hamilton

Big gritty line.. Schenn had problems controlling the puck yesterday so he could go back to the basics.. and hit everyone
