Agree 100%. It's the Pens, they need to have a maddening to watch defense pairing out there, or it's just not a Pens game.

Why is Ehrhoff playing with Letang? I thought he was a right D. Regardless of side, I don't think they make much sense together. Martin if retained or Maatta/Despres should be with Letang IMO.

Ehrhoff has a left-shot and has played both sides in his career. The reason I put him with Letang is because I question if the coaches are willing to put Despres on a top-pairing right away.

I think Downie and Bennett will get preference over Dupuis in the top 6. And rightfully so. They complement star players. Dupuis is much better suited for a third line.

I do worry that we'll go into the season with all 4 of Letang, Ehrhoff, Martin and Scuds. Using Maatta's injury as an excuse. And keeping a guy like Harrington or Dumoulin in WBS.

DB's handling of Despres really screwed us. I doubt they trust him to hold down Maatta's spot while he's out.
