Patches will finish with 70+PTS and 35+ G
Subban will have a small decrease in production 55 PTS.
Eller and Chucky will get no PP because our management is inept 35-40 points.
Smurfs will get all the love, south of 50.
Plek gets no Jagr, 50ish.
Emelin has a breakout year, gets no PP time 20 PTS.
Diaz shows us good form, 30ish points.
Bourque excels, 25+G 50ish points.
Gally gets 20 G, but nothing else.

Price gets no support again, less than 30 wins, we suck, he gets run out of town, wins a cup with Minesota the year after.

Lol @ predicting games played and GAA. Too much randomness.

Yeah, I know. How stupid is it to make "projections/predictions" on a hockey message board, and speculating to talk about hockey in the offseason.

Shame on me. Shame on all of us. :help:

I think it's still too early to begin predicting stats and games played for next season, but I could give a few broader predictions:

1) Pacioretty scored 35+ goals and 70+ points
2) Subban's points-per-game average drops a bit, from the .9 PPG this year to a .75-.8 range (translates to between 62 and 67 points in 82 games) - still a very good season nevertheless
3) Price rebounds under Stephane Waite, GAA around 2.35 and save percentage of around .918
4) Galchenyuk gets PP time and puts up 60+ points (similar season to Seguin's second year)

Habs finish 3rd in their division, below Boston and Detroit

I'll not put any exact numbers out there cause this is juste pure speculation but here's what I think about upcoming year stats (by line and pairings with explanation)

First line : Pacioretty-Plekanec-Briere

I can see a great mix in this line and I project them as all 50 point getters. Patches being the most productive followed by Pleks and Bourque. 80 goal line at the bare minimum.

Second line : Galchenyuk-Eller-Gallagher

This line is a must try. I expect a lot from these 3 from now on...I can see them pot 20 each with near 50 points for all 3 with great intensity.

Third line : Prust-Desharnais-Bourque

I did'nt put Gionta on any of the 3 lines cause him or DD is a must trade. When the timing is right switch Chuckie to center if both of them can be shipped. I can see this line as surprisingly good with DD's vision and big guys intensity and crash the net style.

Fourth line : Any combination of Moen,White,Parros,Dumont or new player that brings a mean streak. Pain in the butt line please.

Def. pairing 1 : Gorges-Subban

Hoping Gorges finds it back....if not promote Tinordi as the season goes. Subban will be a 60pts contributor at least imo. Gorges will block shots and stay back ;)

Def. pairing 2 : Markov-Emelin (Tinordi until december)

Once Emelin is back everything will be alright but I would give the chance to Tinner being the rearguard of Markov and let him freewheel a bit offensively. Markov with 40 pts (hoping)

Def pairing 3 : Diaz- Bouillon

Not big but steady pairing. After the injuries we would have something like : Gorges-Subban , Markov-Emelin and Tinordi/Diaz with Cube and Drewiske ready to step in.

I'm really confident Price strikes back with Waite as a coach. 35 wins at least with Budaj back to normal with a .500 record.

All this is just opinion and pure speculation but you all entered my brain for 2 minutes :)
