Market value dropping by the day.

Imo, this just such a POS move by PLD

I disagree. He asked to be traded. Instead they gave him a 2 year deal which he accepted. Dubois making 5 million per as he plays like crap on purpose to force a trade. Kind of brilliant. Point is Jarmo should've traded him long or make him sit out. Why in the world would want a guy on your team that has demanded a trade? Silly move by Jarmo.

Hey so just checkin in on this, in all of the 5 million threads are there any proposals that have seemed relatively agreed upon by both sides as fair? Or at least as fair as we can get on here. Essentially a common tldr haha.

A lot of noise has been made about McDavid leaving Edmonton because he is running out of patience... but what we are seeing in Columbus with PLD is what that actually looks like. This kid is in an impossible situation now, one of his own making, and the Blue jackets are going to take a haircut on his trade value. That shift last night... good grief. He has quit on his team.

Dahlin + Reinhart + Cozens for Dubois + Werenski
If you give up Dahlin and he ends up becoming even 80% of what he was supposed to your team is screwed

Your talking about a better offensive Victor Hedman.

Reinhart+Cozens is probably around Werenski value but Dahlin is worth a decent amount more than PLD.

Would not make that move if I was the Sabres

If you don't like your situation, speak to the GM privately and work your butt off to increase your trade value. Give the organization a chance to salvage some of the investment they made in drafting you highly.

How many players want to welcome a guy like this to their locker room?

Because obviously the deal was signed with the intention of a trade happening at some point, and being paid 5 million dollars to play and not even try is a slap in the face to thousands of people.

You still have teammates, a fanbase, people's livelihoods on the line

Ottawa would, just like they did with Turris. That turned out very well for Ottawa.

Could someone answer this I'm not sure it could happen.

But what if Seattle pays the rest of it's franchise fee now, would they then be able to trade their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd pick for PLD to Columbus maybe even add a player to be named from the expansion draft.

If that was possible then PLD would have to sit the remainder of the year
