Looks like the DB and Co. are not worried about it being playoff time.

Playoff time shouldn't matter TOO much in my opinion. You can see none of the teammates really doing anything after the hits. Players are scared to defend their teammates anymore. If that's gonna be the case then the league has to step in. Now, I'm still Neanderthal on the subject and wish players were still allowed to do defend themselves and each other a little more. The headshot grey area bugs me a little at times (mostly just questionable calls/non-calls by refs and how does Logan Stanley check Lucas Chiodo and it NOT be a headshot?) The video quality isn't the best...but that looks like Svechnikov leaves his feet to make head contact. I can see a short suspension there. Foget? If they're gonna take out blindside hits THATS the kind they have to take out. I'm ok with that suspension too. If not more.

If that happens I'll never renew my season tickets again! I expect DiPietro to steal 1 game, MAYBE 2 for Windsor. Sarnia is way to deep to screw up in the 1st round this year.

Sarnia's forward depth is ridiculous. Like, 09-10 Colts ridiculous. Somehow it feels like they're still being underrated.

I suppose some could argue that depth isn't as important as front-line talent in the playoffs, but they have Kyrou, too. I'm buying.

Oh, I think they are. Not sure about the Svechnikov hit but the Foget hit is a minimum of 8 games in the reg season.

REGULAR SEASON:

Foget = 10 games
Svechnikov = 10 games (looks Ike he left his feet or at least lunged into it and the League usually doesn’t care if it was accidental so...)

If it were me, I would rate the Foget hit worse. The blind side with speed is the exact hit that has to go. The other hot was two bodies aggressively active for a puck on the boards and sometimes injuries happen, but the league has a history of suspending these in the same manner as the “dirty” ones.

The League is still being consistent though. Playoff suspensions have been linked to length of series etc. So four games each is consistent with past suspension come playoff time.

EAST

HAM over OTT in 4 - Sorry 67's fans, but such is the lot of the squeak in. Hamilton won every game vs Ottawa this year, and it wasn't ever close. I see no reason this series will be any different.

BAR over MISS in 6 - Miss got hot at the end of the season and Svechnikov is suspended. If there will be an upset I expect it here. That said, Barrie just outworks you, can't see Miss pulling it off.

KGN over NB - in 5 - Kingston seems to have dropped the ball near the end of their season. That said, North Bay has done the same and really the didn't separate very much from the bottom seed pack and I feel that Helvig is the best tender in the league.

OSH over NIA - in 7 - This comes down to does Dhillon stand on his head or do the woes of a few weeks past return? As a Hamilton fan this might be wishful thinking on my part, but I found Oshawa a more balanced team myself (despite them having our number). That said, it should be a close one regardless.

WEST

SSM over SAG in 4 - Yeahhhh......this match-up is an argument for the OHL playoffs moving to a six team format with byes for Division winners. This one will get ugly quick. If Saginaw wins, this will be an upset on par with Leicester winning the premier league.

KIT over GUE in 5 - Guelph can often surprise a team and beat higher quality opposition, but I can't see that happening consistently against the Rangers.

SAR over WSR in 5 - This is also a mismatch, Sarnia's Fazio is a wall and they are just an all around good team.

OS over LDN in 6 - Nick Suzuki is a machine and London sold quite a bit at the deadline and are reloading again. I think the Attack are the dark horse here.

I think most people have SSM losing too often. I know this is the playoffs but honestly I was thinking they'd go 16-2/16-3 throughout the playoffs. They're that good. I don't see anyone taking them to 6, Sarnia included.
