Since there is no clear day roster, I assume that it is zero. If you played in the NHL but not in the AHL, I believe that you are limited, if not prohibited. That could change after the NHL team's season is over. Nashville sent down some Milwaukee call ups for one day and then returned them (on paper). I believe that was to make them AHL playoff eligible, even though they have 2 way contracts and had played in the AHL for most of the season.
College and Junior players can be added if their season is over.
