Only the least intelligently written manga I’ve read.

It took a great concept to build a story around, then made that story forgettable, had annoying characters, and poor writing made it fall flat.

I don't know, it's an internet meme due to a lot of stupid segments in the show like the chip scene, apples, and Light becoming crazy. It's honestly not that hard to understand for the casual peeps; dude finds a book where he can kill people, bloke has delusions of grandeur, bloke eventually spirals like "insert Seattle grunge band lead vocalist here".

Awesome avatar though, A+ from me.
