Recchi is the guy I'll probably be campaigning for now that LeClair, Lindros, and Desjardins are taken care of.

Followed by Brian Boucher :sarcasm:

Edit: And let's discuss how criminal it is that Timonen wasn't inducted years ago.

Gagne
Recchi
Brind'Amour
Watson
Timonen
Giroux (if god forbid his career ended in the next year or two he has the numbers and impact already.)

Tocchet and Eklund feel like the cut off for forwards, Dupont feels like the cut off on D... guys who will never be in but pretty much everyone above them will be.

Both radio commentators commented. "Jim Watson would be the first (next) one for me," Tim Saunders and Steve Coates heartily agreed.

No one.

When you start adding players like Gagne and Brind'Amour, even Jimmy Watson, it's not a team Hall of Fame, it's just a list of players who were really good for a few seasons.

Eventually, Giroux should probably make it, but that's it.

Of course, team HOF inductions are nights the Flyers can use to sell a few more tickets against dregs like Buffalo, so I'm sure non-iconic good players like Gagne will make it for that reason.

Gags is 10th in points and games played as a flyer, 9th for goals, 6th for GWG, and 10th for PPG and SHG all time. I'd say those are Flyers HOF worthy numbers.

EDIT: I think I also saw on here that he is now 2nd for OT winners behind G as well. Checking to see if I can confirm that.

Actually, turns out Gags is still first for OT winners.

With his 5th OT winner in a Flyers jersey Giroux went joint 2nd all time on the Flyers list.

1st overall is Simon Gagne with 6.

Giroux, Lindros and LeClair are tied for 2nd with 5 apiece.

Rod and Recchi are certainly Flyers HOF caliber level players on their careers as a whole, but the fact they accomplished much more after they left taints it for me.

I wasn't alive for Watson, so not sure there.

Timonen, not sure. Close but he feels a cut below Desjardins in terms of his Flyers career.

Gagne is probably the closest in my eyes. But I'm leaning that he just does not feel like he's quite there.

Gagne had 2 40 goal seasons and 2 30 goal seasons for the Flyers. Two time 70 point player.

That's a good player, not a team HOF player. I put him in the Carter/Richards level.

It was a while between inductions wasn't it? Before Hextall got in? Somebody look into that, like it was CRAZY hard to be inducted into the Flyers HOF.

Now in the last few years it was Howe/Hextall/Lindros/Leclair/Desjardin.

Not I'm not saying none of them weren't deserved. They all were. But it felt like they kept it to a very high standard. Not sure Gagne and guys like that crack it.

Looking back, Recchi has 627 pts as a Flyer. Over a PPG for him. Probably would I guess.

Right, in comparison he has 535 pts in 691 games.

Recchi had 627 pts in 602 games.
