I feel like up until the playoffs this year, Marc Method was vastly underrated. It seems like nowadays if you're not an offensive defenceman, you don't get much credit. Unless you're Chara or Weber I guess.

Phaneuf received way to much flak. Yeah, his contract isn't great, but he can be pretty solid.

Patches takes a lot of unwarranted criticism IMO for being a finesse winger who scores 30-40 goals a season.

I can't see anyone on the Leafs as being underrated at this point.
