So I was just browsing drafts and came across my team drafting

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nathan_Smith_(ice_hockey)

26 games played in the NHL without recording a point.

Is there any other player that has more games played in the NHL without a point?

Im not talking about a player going his first 30 games pointless before getting his first. Im talking straight no points in entire career.

Kinda curious

For the leafs closest thing I can think of is Carter Ashton, former 1st round pick
Played 54 games for the leafs between 2011 and 2014
No NHL Goals, and only 3 Assists
Now plays in the KHL

While on the topic, what's the most amount of games gone without a point?

For goals, Adam Pardy hasn't scored a goal (excluding playoffs) since 2010-11, on January 26, 2011. That is 199 consecutive regular season games with 0 goals.

Matt Carle scored his first point around his 50th game last season. I don't know how many pointless games he had the season before that. But it was kind of crazy.

Another similar fact... Steven Halko played 155 NHL regular season games (across 6 NHL seasons plus 4 NHL playoff games for the Carolina Hurricanes and did not score an NHL goal.

It makes me think of Derek Boogaard because it fits into the idea of lots of games with almost no offense.

I know it doesn't match the "no points" criteria, but his offensive numbers INCLUDING his junior, AHL, and ECHL are this.

593 games 8 goals

He scored one quarter of his total goals through junior, AHL, ECHL and the NHL in 05-06.

Jordin Tootoo is current 36 games in without a point. I think.

also ended last season with 10 pointless games so his streak is 46 games...and before that he had an 17 game pointless streak, so in his last 64 games he's 1+0

Forward Tyler Wright had a season of 61 regular games and 13 playoff games with no point. I also remember as a kid having a card of Dennis Bonvie with season of 2, 8, 4, 11, 28 and 3 games (total 56games) without any point. He finished his career at 92-1-2-3.

whoever it is, just wait until they play the islanders. they are notorious for ending such streaks. i think it was scott gomez with montreal that went over 100 games without scoring a goal......and then along came the islanders.
i cant tell you how many times ive heard the islanders announcer say "thats his first goal in XXX games........"

i wouldnt be surprised if there a at least a dozen players who only scored 1 NHL goal.........and it was against the islanders.

i know this thread is about points, not goals. sorry if i knocked it off track.

I was at a game and got to see Wright score on a breakaway.

I think Jagr had 5 or 6 points that night on a rookie Roberto Luongo.
